Subscriber's Statuses Explained
Every subscriber added to a list in your account has a subscriber status, for example "Active" or "Email Unsubscribed".
There are 2 status categories for each subscriber, Status and SMS Status. The Status category has 4 types which controls the subscriber overall status in your list and also the email status, like if they have unsubscribed from your list. The SMS Status category has 3 types and controls the SMS status of the subscriber.
Status Definitions
Active
Emails and Texts sent to a subscriber list are only sent to active subscribers on the list.
Not Active
This type is usually used when you deactivate a subscriber. In this status the subscriber will not receive any email or text.
Email Unsubscribed
They have either opted out via an unsubscribe link, or form, or their status has been changed to unsubscribed through your account.
Email Bounced
These are email addresses that have hard bounced, meaning we can not deliver emails to them. We remove hard bounces from your list so you don't pay to send to them again, and also add them to your suppression list to prevent them from being accidentally re-imported.
SMS Status Definitions
Opt-in
This means that the subscriber has opted in to receive SMS messages from you. They have either opted in through a SMS Keyword or their status has been changed to Opt-in through your account.
Opt-out
This means that the subscriber has opted out to receive SMS messages from you. They have either opted out through a SMS Keyword or their status has been changed to Opt-in through your account.
Bounced
These are mobile numbers that have been bounced, meaning we can not deliver texts to them. We remove hard bounces from your list so you don't pay to send to them again, and also add them to your suppression list to prevent them from being accidentally re-imported.
