SMS Keywords are great tools to you can use to engage with your audience to grow your customer base and your subscriber's list. A SMS keyword is a word or phrase that people text to DreamCampaigns dedicated phone number using their mobile phone to interact with your business. The interaction could be simply just adding them to your list or sending them a coupon.

Depending on your subscription plan with DreamCampaigns, you have no or limited number of keywords that you can create. Please refer to your subscription plan information for more details on the number of keywords your account can create. If you need more keywords, you can purchase a custom Textable Number from your "Account Settings", which gives you access to unlimited keywords with your custom Textable Number.

Manage SMS Keyword

All the communications between your keyword and your subscribers are managed here. Depending on what your keyword needs to accomplish, you'll create them here on the Manage Keyword page:

  • Select Auto Send, if you like to send back a confirmation text message to the subscriber that you have received their subscription.
  • Select Text-to-Join, if you like to use this keyword to add email subscribers to your list.
  • Choose MMS if you like to send multimedia to your subscribers.
  • Select a list from the dropdown to add the subscribers to.

SMS Keyword Triggers

If you turn Text-to-Join off, you'll have access to sub-keywords or Triggers. These are sub-keywords within your keyword that you can use to extend your communication with your subscribers. In the example below, once the subscriber texts the keyword we'll send them "Thank you for joining our list" if they text "MORE" we'll send them the coupon code.

You can create as many Triggers as you like for your keywords, just have in mind that every text send & received to your keyword is billed to your account based on your plan subscription.
